Dr. Hunt, a Fort Smith native, graduated from Auburn University in 1999 and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2006.   She completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the Arkansas State Hospital (ASH), where her experience emphasized the treatment of adults and adolescents with a wide-range of mood, anxiety, and behavior disorders and trauma.  Dr.  Hunt has worked as a psychologist at ASH since 2007 and has served as the Director of Clinical Training for the accredited pre-doctoral internship training program since 2011.  She also began part-time private practice in December 2013 with much of her practice focusing on the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in both adolescents and adults, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder evaluations, and pre-surgical evaluations for individuals seeking weight loss surgery.  Dr. Hunt has extensive experience diagnosing and treating adolescents and adults with attention, intellectual, and learning deficits and working with adolescents with sexual behavior problems.  

An avid endurance athlete, Dr. Hunt is passionate about health and wellness.  She understands the importance of the mind-body connection and recognizes that psychological and physical health is intricately connected.  Dr. Hunt provides both assessment and therapeutic services to assist others in making important lifestyle changes allowing them to live a complete and fulfilling life.
